Greenslips is a general term for Compulsory Third Party insurance. Similar terms for greenslips include CTP Greenslips, CTP, CTP Insurance, green slips, green slip and greenslip insurance. CTP (Compulsory Third Party) Insurance, protects you against personal injuries you may cause to someone else in the event of a vehicle accident resulting in a personal injury claim. A compulsory third party insurance (CTP) or greenslip is a legal necessity for vehicles to be registered in NSW.
It’s important to note that your greenslip does not cover any damage to other vehicles or to your vehicle, damage to property, nor does your greenslip cover theft. These are incidents that require insurance obtained through different policies which you should consider taking out. Details of how the scheme works and what your greenslip entails, are included throughout this website.
